World business news: Tesla delivered a record number of cars in 2020, the company said, just narrowly missing its half a million target for the year.
The pioneering innovation electric vehicle manufacturing company deliver 180,570 cars to customers and produce 179,757 in the fourth quarter of the year.
Tesla’s previous record was delivering 139,300 vehicles in the third quarter year of 2020.
The firm said its delivery count was conservative and that final numbers could vary by up to half a percentage point or more.
Tesla chief and co-founder Elon Musk greet the number of sale as a “major milestone” for the firm.
At first, they thought that they had optimistically a 10% chance of surviving at all.
Tesla’s entry-level Model 3 and its crossover Model Y accounted for nearly 86% of deliveries, with the balance split between the luxury Model S sedan and the Model X SUV.
The company also mention that there is a production of its Model Y, which will be in a Chinese plant in Shanghai. It will be delivery which has an expectation to begin shortly.
Tesla has the target which wants to manufacture electric cars for the masses in September.
Besides, they agree that developments in battery technology can be a good model in around three years’ time.
Tesla’s growth development has motivated investors to push up its value. Thus, the stock value worth more than General Motors, Ford, Toyota, Honda, Fiat Chrysler, and Volkswagen.
