There are two subgroups, which are whole grains and refined grains.
Whole grains contain more fibre and protein than refined grains. Besides, whole grains cause fewer sugar spikes in the body compared to refined grains.
The grains used to form the base of the government-approved food pyramid, thus the eating of grains is important.
All people should include nutrient-dense protein as part of their regular diets, such as lean beef, pork, chicken, legumes, and bean.
Dairy and fortified soy products are a vital source of calcium. Calcium can help to prevent osteoporosis in women and most importantly will increase the efficiency of uptake of vitamin D in our body.
