The staff at the Estee Lauder counter in 1 Utama Parkson Elite store had tested positive for Covid-19. Parkson Malaysia confirmed the statement today.
The person concerned is a beauty consultant. She worked in the cosmetics and perfume at the departmental on the ground floor.
Parkson Malaysia said in a statement today: “We proceeded to close our Parkson Elite 1 Utama store for a thorough cleansing and sanitisation exercise in accordance with the procedures issued by the Ministry of Health.”
It also informed staff that they tested positive for the new coronavirus yesterday.
The statement said that the Parkson Elite 1 Utama will temporarily closed in order to reduce the risk of infection and will reopen with a new team tomorrow.
“Meanwhile, our store staff will undergo Covid-19 testing as well as 14 days of self-quarantine.”
They added that it is working closely with the management team of 1 Utama shopping mall and the Ministry of Health for contact tracking.
Earlier, a staff member of the 1 Utama Mac City Service Center has confirmed to have tested positive for Covid-19.
