Tom Holland, who starred the upcoming Uncharted movie, has shared the first look at his portrayal of treasure-hunter Nathan Drake via Instagram. In the photo, he poses similar to the cover of Uncharted 3. Usually, he dresses like what we saw in the games. However, PlayStation fans and hardcore film buffs will probably notice that in his portrayal, Nathan’s shirt does not have its iconic half-tuck look. Though he actually looks younger than he did in even the prequel Uncharted: Golden Abyss.
The COVID-19 pandemic has basically warped everyone’s sense of time and delayed almost all movie production. Without exception, the Uncharted movie also had delayed for a decade, although the long-in-development of this movie is apparently nearly done filming. Putting that inaccuracy aside, there is still plenty of excitement about the movie. Holland is best known for starring as Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He has brought the update news by sharing a since-expired Instagram Story.
In September, Holland has mentioned in his Instagram that the filming of Uncharted movie is going very well. He was such a big fan of the game and starring in this movie is an unexpected opportunity. He also said that he has the largest bruise of all time on his leg, but streaming live on the revealing area might be shut down by Instagram.
About Uncharted movie
The Uncharted movie will be a prequel of sorts for the games. As expectation, it will be aired on July 16, 2021. Since the film has been moved forward, the producer has shifted the role of Mark Wahlberg (The Fighter, Entourage) who was originally starring a young Nathan Drake. He will be playing Victor “Sully” Sullivan – Drake’s frequent travelling companion, father figure and occasional mentor now.
Ruben Fleischer (Zombieland, Venom) will be directing this film. Tati Gabrielle (The Owl House), Antonio Banderas (The Expendables 3) and Sophia Ali (Grey’s Anatomy) will also be co-starring.
