Man with pink wristband get arrested at restaurant in Rawang

The man had been ordered to undergo home quarantine from yesterday until Oct 16 after a Covid-19 screening at klia2.

Last night, a man has found wearing a pink wristband. He has arrested at a restaurant in Bandar Tasik Puteri in Rawang. He has violated Covid-19’s mandatory isolation regulations.

The man has detained in front of the hotel at 7.30 pm after making a public report. Gombak District Police Chief Arifai Tarawe said.

“On checking, it was found that the man had been ordered to undergo home quarantine from yesterday until Oct 16 after a Covid-19 screening at klia2 and while awaiting for the test results,” he said when contacted today.

He said that the man will remand in custody tomorrow to assist in an investigation under Article 269 of the Criminal Law involving negligent acts that could spread infection or any life-threatening disease.

“We urge those who have issued the quarantine order by the health ministry to comply with the rules as this is to ensure that they, their families and others are safe.”

He added that their negligence may increase anxiety in the surrounding people.
