Google is getting to launch its Pixel 5 smartphone, a new Chromecast, and a new smart speaker later this month. Google has started inviting members of the media to a special event on September 30th, promising new hardware.
The Pixel maker revealed its launch plans alongside the introduction of the Pixel 4A last month, promising 5G versions of the Pixel 5 and Pixel 4A would be available in the US, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Germany, Japan, Taiwan, and Australia.

A new Chromecast is on the way, too. It seems likely that Google is referring to the device that carries the codename “Sabrina,” which has popped in a variety of leaks over the last several months.
From what we know, Sabrina is a significant departure from previous Chromecast devices in several important ways. First of all, it has its own UI, shipping with Android TV software onboard. It will also have a dedicated remote, which might look something like this:

Google also said a smart speaker will make an appearance at the launch event, which will likely be the Nest smart speaker that Google confirmed back in July after a leak. The speaker looks like it’ll be something between the Nest Mini and the larger Google Home Max, with the ability to stand vertically.
